Francesca Kula is a photographer and filmmaker currently based in Brooklyn, NY. They received a BFA in Photography with a Minor in Film/Video and Philosophy at Pratt Institute

Kula searches for ways in which photography can intersect as a depiction of the world and how it can serve as their way to create something entirely fictional. Interested in ideas of impermenance and memory, they search for moments in the landscape that convey a sense of time–dents in the grass, carvings and debris. They hold a nostalgia for these things they have never experienced and hold a sense of wonder at how things came to be.

They are co-founder of KB a Brooklyn based art gallery alongside Coco Benger.

They like music and laying in the grass.
